Apex Soccer Academy is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kris Ray as our new Technical Director.
Kris brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of developing elite soccer talent. His career spans leadership roles at prominent clubs nationwide, including Chattanooga FC and affiliates of the Portland Timbers and Chicago Fire. His expertise has directly contributed to the success of hundreds of players at the highest levels of youth, collegiate, and professional soccer.

Director of Youth Development and Academy Technical Director, Chattanooga FC
ECNL program FC Alliance - Knoxville, TN - Technical and Team Coach
Founder and Director of Coaching, Lookout Valley Soccer Association
Regional Training Center Director (Portland Timbers & Thorns)
Director of Coaching, Indiana Fire South (Chicago Fire Affiliate)
And numerous other leadership and coaching positions.
Kris served as college recruiting advisor for multiple clubs advising their players on the best opportunities at the collegiate level.
Additionally, he has served as a camp staff coach for prestigious collegiate programs such as Indiana University, University of North Carolina, Duke University, Syracuse University, Vanderbilt University and many more.
Kris holds the United Soccer Coaches Premier Coaching Diploma (equivalent to USSF A) and Director of Coaching certificate along with multiple other coaching certifications, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in player development. His passion lies in maximizing player potential through skill refinement, motivation, and fostering a winning mindset.
