Apex Jr. KICKERS

A playful introduction to soccer for our youngest kickers, kids will learn the basics while falling head over cleats in love with the game!

Apex Jr. Kickers is partnering with Crayons 2 Pencils to offer this soccer enrichment program at the Recreation Center in Norwalk. Apex Jr. Kickers will be a weekly program in the fall, winter, and spring.

Pre-K Program at C2P Recreation Center

The program is customized to align with Crayons 2 Pencils’ learning schedule during daytime hours.

This soccer enrichment program is designed to teach fundamentals and inspire a love for the game!

Apex Jr. Kickers develops motor skills such as:

  • Balance

  • Coordination

  • Kicking

  • Hopping, jumping on one foot

  • Dribbling - navigating around obstacles

  • Passing - sharing the ball

In addition, Apex Jr. Kickers emphasizes character development, teamwork, creativity, listening skills, and following directions.

This soccer enrichment program is designed to teach fundamentals and inspire a love for the game!

Our qualified coaches will offer 30 minute sessions to the 3 year-olds and 4 year-olds at C2P’s Recreation Center on Tuesday mornings starting January 7.

  • We will communicate our weekly themes and skills we are learning.

  • Fun Photos of your kids in action will be posted in your room’s Facebook group.

  • These sessions will be inside the Rec Center gym, please have your child wear athletic shoes.

    • Please no Croc style shoes or flip flops.

  • No special equipment needed! We will supply the soccer balls!

  • Weather permitting - our last day would be February 25.

  • For days with inclement weather, Mondays or Fridays will be our makeup days.

Apex is part of Peak Sports Academy.
You will need to create an account with your email and a password within Playmetrics and enter your child’s name and birthdate. Then you will see the program options.

WHat is Apex Soccer Academy?

Apex Soccer Academy is a competitive soccer club started in 2016 based in Norwalk, Iowa. Our players come from Norwalk, Indianola, Carlisle, West Des Moines, Winterset and many surrounding communities.

WHO CAN PARTICPATE IN APEX JR KICKERS?

Girls and boys between the ages of 2-5 years old.

Who are the coaches?

Apex Coaches are a group of passionate, experienced soccer coaches that love teaching and inspiring kids to love the game of soccer. All Apex coaches pass background checks and SafeSport Training as required by Iowa Soccer/US Soccer.

Mark Gavin will be the lead coach of the Jr. Kickers Program. Coaches Mason Lucas and Tim Hugunin will be coaching sessions, too!

IT has already started, Can I still sign up?

We will offer packages for those that did not get registered for the first 2 sessions.
